We want to start building stronger communities.

 

Communities where people are comfortable and confident in having conversations about what is happening in their lives. Supportive and encouraging conversations.

 

How do we do this... By training up people who work in businesses where people come for a chat, meet up or spend time at in good and bad times, so that we can start to build a foundation within that community.

 

 We will provide initial and ongoing training, resources and support to the business so that the people working there are as confident and well equiped as possible.

 

 After the initial registration, training and setup, it won't cost the business any more...What we will be asking is that they place a donation tin / tip jar on the counter, and encourage customers to put money in... The money raised through there will pay for more staff to get trained. This way, the more the community buy into it, the stronger it gets. We don't have to rely on the government to do something, or big businesses to donate, we do it ourselves.

 

Businesses / shops that sign up will be registered with us and displayed on our site so that people can see where they can go. We will also supply a sticker for the window so that the community knows that you are there to support them.
