Growing up I knew both sides of my family struggled with mental health issues. I saw the many different sides of addiction, and unfortunately lost others to suicide. It wasn't until I went through my own mental health problems that I knew I had to reach out and speak up.

I want to help be a voice for those living with poor mental health and mental illness and to also educate others about these. The Rise movement helps communities, families and friends break down the stigmas around mental health and teaches us to get comfortable asking uncomfortable questions. This is something that I'm passionate about and the best way I know how to make a difference.
